*Disclaimer*It's where we play.

The sandbox is always evolving, please come back with your bucket and shovel again later. These are some things I've done that are homeless, but they were good mental exercises and I enjoyed working on them. Some of these are my own works, and some are tutorials with a little bit of tweaking. If you're concerned, make sure to check the disclaimer (up there, to the right.)

jQuery Drag and Dock Fun
No, I don't know where I'd use this, or why, but it looks nice. Especially for the Mac lovers out there, this "dock" should feel comfortable. The background was done in Illustrator, it's "Aurora Borealis". It's fun to grab things and drag them around, but I like the dock functionality the best - I love the way it sticks to the bottom, and I could see where it would be helpful to use it as a "central command" location for throwing out links or some other part of navigation. Drag stuff around by the "header", and make sure to hover over the icons on the bottom of the screen.
Password Mini-App
My wife's favorite thing to ask is "What's your password?" Seriously? I have no idea. I have 4.9 million passwords, and that inspired this little proof of concept. It's very Ajax-y, feels kinda slick. It could use some fine tuning, but it does what I set out to do. Do not put anything important in there, it's just for show!
jQuery Waterslide
OK, there's no water involved, that part is completely fictional. But this little demo slides up and down nicely. I like the way it maximizes real estate on the page, and you could do some cool Ajax calls to the database while the slider is closing back up. And I got to use a new site I found for creating random text, which is always fun because the old faithful lorem ipsum can be so dry. And lorem ipsum doesn't have cool phrases like "a thimbleful of the liquid".
